RECLINING FIGURE 1951 2026
After some time away from the art world, I decided to jump back in the only way I knew how: by faking it, and what better way than becoming a literal sculpture. I had a costume made to resemble Henry Moore’s “Reclining Figure 1951” and gave him a social media presence in 2026. He’s the ultimate art world figure; he knows all the art and is on a first name basis with the artist that made it.
The series takes a starting off point with artists like Cindy Sherman and Yasumasa Morimura and puts a unique spin on the concept of a “self portrait”. My goal is to explore the ways we reflect, skew, and skewer our own presentation to the public.
