RF51 DICK PICS 2026
After some time away from the art world, I decided to jump back in the only way I knew how: by faking it, and what better way than becoming a literal sculpture. I had a costume made to resemble Henry Moore’s “Reclining Figure 1951” and gave him a social media presence in 2026. He’s the ultimate art world figure; he knows all the art and is on a first name basis with the artist that made it. These pictures are from a series posted on his OnlyFans account. The “Dick Pics” are real images found on the internet with “Reclining Figure 1951” superimposed into the scene, supplanting the central figure.
Most of my work throughout my art making career has been investigations into the concepts of masculinity. Growing up queer in the midwest I have always been fascinated by how masculinity is constructed and presents itself. Through the “Dick Pics” I am showing how men see themselves and how they present that package to the world.
The series takes a starting off point with artists like Cindy Sherman and Yasumasa Morimura and puts a unique spin on the concept of a “self portrait”. My goal is to explore the ways we reflect, skew, and skewer our own presentation to the public.
