LIVE! (Ongoing)
LIVE! is an ongoing short form video series through the medium of social media. Taking cues from On Kawara’s “I am still alive”, Marina Abramovic’s “The Artist Is Present”, and Andy Warhol’s “Screen Tests” each video is a documentation of a 3 minute “Instagram Live”. Performed almost everyday, the piece touches on our need for connection, attention, and fame while emphasizing the very self absorption of the process. The subject “looks out” onto the viewer, ostensibly make a connection, all the while gazing at himself in the self facing camera.
